Your trip begins with your arrival in Vietnam. Your private driver will meet and greet you at the airport. You will be escorted to the hotel by private transportation. Check-in to the hotel and get over the jet lag. You can mooch through the streets of the city. Historic charm, architectural marvels, and product variety are splashed all over this area. Day 2 Hanoi Vespa Tour (B/L)

We pick up you and drive through the narrow street to come to the meeting point for joining the group at the historic Old quarter our first stop is to visit the French Quarter and visit the Opera house where you will learn about French colonial architecture and history.

Activities

Our Vespa rider takes you to the second destination to see the railway train tracks, we can see how the locals live & work, just a centimeter from the train tracks in tall narrow houses.

After a short ride on the Vespa toward Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, our rider will stop at the point you can see an overview of the area including the president’s place, parliament house, and all government offices, our guide will tell you about the history and story about Hanoi.

Now time continues riding through pass to see the botanical garden and ride past Small Alley to see the narrow houses to visit Huu Hiep Lake to see the B52 Crash site at the lake, this US bomber was shot down during the 1972 bombing raids of Hanoi, a poignant reminder of recent history.

On our next ride is to visit west lake one of the biggest lakes in Hanoi city, At some point, we can see an overview of the city with beautiful houses and amazing views and see part of the rich people living.

Next to the west lake is Truc Bach lake where we stop at the monument of John MC Cain and see the lake and the place he gets shot down, you will learn about the story of John MC Cain.

It’s back on the Vespa for the ride to the An Duong market to see where local people come to buy and sell fresh vegetables and food for daily life and stroll around this huge, bustling place to take in the vibrant atmosphere that typifies Hanoi.

Our next ride takes us along the riverside to get on the red river island to visit a hidden gem village, here also see the poor part of people live, see people farming on this island, and also have a chance to meet and chat with people live on this island, and our guide will take you to visit a local family to see how about the daily life.

Then now we drive up through the banana farm to see the beautiful green of the vegetable farm along the way time we get to visit Kumquat farm these little trees are traditional gifts at Tet, the Vietnamese lunar new year, and adorn every family home, symbolizing Luck. Health, Wealth, Fertility, and peace.

After all our last destination we then ride out of the city to the Long Bien Bridge, a magnificent structure build over a hundred years ago with spans the red river and connects the Hoan Kiem and Long Bien districts, and provides shelter to locals living on the boats underneath, on motorbikes & bicycle can traverse so off we go!

We then get on the Vespa and head to the local restaurant for you to enjoy the Vietnamese cuisine, after lunch, our Vespa team will ride you back to your hotel stay or you can get off anywhere you want just tell our rider.

Day 4Hanoi – Ha Long Bay – Overnight On Cruise (B/L/D)

In the morning, check-out from hotel and get picked-up by the Cruise. Today you visit a natural heritage side of Vietnam .Take the most scenic route to reach Halong Bay, taking you across the Red River Delta with emerald green rice paddies stretching for as far as the eyes can see. On arrival at Halong, you get to enjoy a cruise on the Bay to explore the limestone rocks and the karst grottoes.

After you are done with your exploration of the bay, it is time to enjoy an utterly delicious seafood lunch, after which there will be a trip to the famous Limestone cave in Ha Long bay, you’ll get to spend some time here, kayaking or swimming, so that you can get closer to the floating villages and shops. Towards the evening, you will return to the boat for an early dinner, followed by some time at leisure. You can optionally attend the activities taking part on the boat or relax for the day.

Day 3Hanoi City Tour  With Hanoi'S Cultural Depth (B/L)

Hanoi is the country’s cultural heart, bearing traces of centuries of changing dynasties. At 8:00 AM, your tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and take you to the key historic attraction of the city such as Hoan Kiem Lake; Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum; visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology the Hanoi Temple of Literature – a rare example of Vietnamese architecture back to the 11thCentury. In the afternoon, immerse in the unique cultural experiences right in the heart of the Old Quarter.

And enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant before making a stroll around the charming Hanoi Old Quarter to explore the fantastic maze off the back street. Then walking to the busy streets of Nha Chung where every day is always busy with several food and vegetarians gathering for sales. And stop at old France House for a tea break and talk to him and discover more about the change of the local people, and life and listen to the story of a family in each period.

Step into the home of Mr. Liem, a passionate seventh-generation puppet maker, and performer. He is the creator of the mobile theater and new puppet designs. Visit his humble home and listen to the Vietnam story to understand how his love for this traditional art grows. Then have a private show in his small theatre and learn the basic techniques of using bamboo rods to move puppets through the water.

Day 5Halong Bay – Hanoi (B/L)- Night Train To Hue – Private Cabin On Train

Rise early for a lesson in Tai Chi or just to enjoy a hearty breakfast. The boat will make its way back to the port stopping at the Limestone Cave, full of stalagmites and stalactites. From here, it’s clear sailing back to the main harbor and the return to Hanoi around 17:00.

After that, our driver will come to your hotel and pick you up at the train station. Take a night train to Hue.

Day 6Hue Cyclo Tour In The Afternoon (B)

Arrive at Hue train station; our driver will pick you up at the hotel. Check-in at your hotel and enjoy your time in Hue City.

In the afternoon, start your cyclo tour to visit Hue – an ancient city of Vietnam, with a visit to the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. After exploring the ruins of this wonderful monument take a cyclo ride through the ‘Old City’ to Tinh Tam Lake where the Emperors used to come to relax, full of lotus flowers in Summer, there are many local style coffee shops around the lake where university students come to study. Drive into Thien Mu Pagoda, constructed in 1601, the 21-meter tall tower is the centerpiece of the pagoda.

Day 7Biking Tour To Thuy Bieu Village (B/L)

If you are too familiar with sightseeing and historical attractions in Hue, visiting Thuy Bieu Village is a good choice for travelers who seek to explore the city’s culture and people, especially when Hue is also famous for the rustic and simple features of old villages.

This morning our experienced tour guide picks you up and transfers you to the Thuy Bieu Village. After a welcome drink at the local house, you will ride a bike around the village to see the daily life of the local people, stop to visit an incense-making family, a joss-paper-making family, a paper-painting family to see the countryside painting of young local artists. After our village biking, you will be back at the local house to have a foot massage before cooking your lunch under the instruction of our chief.

Our local cook will help you cook some famous local foods such as Fig salad mixed with shrimp and pork, Banh Ram It (a patty of super-crunchy deep-fried stick rice topped with stir-fried shrimp and pork), Banh Khoai (a pan-fried crepe that is typically stuffed with shrimp and pork). Lunch will be served with all Hue food before taking a rest and driving back to your hotel for a free afternoon.

Day 8Hue Transfer To Hoi An (B)

Have breakfast at the hotel and get ready for the 3 hours trip from Hoi An to Hue by private vehicle.

Upon arrival, you will have free time. You could spend time at the beach or explore this romantic and charming town.

Day 9Hoi An Cooking Class At Red Bridge Cooking Class (B/L)

Have breakfast at your hotel then our driver will pick you up from your hotel. Then we start the day (8.15 am) with a welcome drink at Hai Café.

Visit Hoi An’s colorful market – Vietnam’s local market style, and experience the amazing sights, sounds, and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about all the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.

We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.

On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked.

Bring your swimsuit and after the cooking tour has finished relax and enjoy free use of our 20-meter swimming pool – towels and showers provided.

Day 10One Day Being A Local Farmer (B/L)

Today your English-speaking guide will meet you at the hotel around 8:00 am and take you for a cycling trip to the countryside and rivers around Hoi An. As you meander through the countryside you will experience the friendliness of the local people greeting you along the way. After that, you will board the Hoi An Eco-tour boat for a river cruise to meet and engage with local fishermen. Enjoy a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing. You will also take a paddleboat trip in a unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat down the waterways of a coconut palm paradise. Have lunch at a local Restaurant then you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 11Hoi An Leisure Day (B)

Today you will have free time to explore Hoi An at your own pace, seeing what interests you. This ancient town is full of Japanese merchant houses and pagodas, temples, and antique warehouses. Or just lounge about in a laid-back riverside café on the bank of the Thu Bon River.

Day 12Travel From Hoi An To Ho Chi Minh City (B)- Private Cabin On Train

Have breakfast at the hotel, and have free time until our driver will meet you for a transfer to the train station. Take a night train to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 13Ho Chi Minh City In The Afternoon And Dinner With Music Artist (B/D)

Take the morning trip to visit the Independence Palace in Vietnam, also known as the Reunification palace, which was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the historic Central Post Office. Followed the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of both the Indochina wars.

After that, our driver will take you to the restaurant for having dinner with Music Artist.

Day 14Excursion To Mighty Mekong Delta  (B/L/D)

Depart from Ho Chi Minh city (clients’ arrangement of land transportation from Ho Chi Minh City to Cai Be( approx. 120km). Arrive at Cai Be, greet at Cai Be harbor, and boat trip transfer to Mekong Lodge. Check-in your accommodation.

You have a daily lunch in the nice restaurant with the Vietnamese day-menu. Afterward, from 14h30pm: bike trip to Tan Phong island: visit some local handicrafts: handmade banana leaves hammock, thatched from water coconut leaves, daily house products being made from water hyacinth, free fruit tasting & Vietnamese folk music. Then take a small rowing boat to the small canal (approx.  30’). Cooking demonstration in the evening & dinner in the restaurant.

Day 15Discover The Floating Market - Back To Ho Chi Minh City (B)

Have breakfast in the restaurant Then take a boat trip to Cai Be market, visit traditional Vietnam handicraft village, then transfer to Mekong Lodge. Enjoy the rest of your time in Mekong Delta until our boat trip will transfer to Cai Be harbor. Then our driver will take you back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 16Time To Say Goodbye -  Ho Chi Minh Departure (B)

Relish a healthy breakfast on the final day of your trip. Complete the hotel check-out formalities after which you can visit the local markets and buy souvenirs for your loved ones.  Later, proceed for departure and board your flight back home. Trip Ends.

Any policies are in place for children?

The rate for children applicable for child sharing a room or cabin with two adults:

  • For infant (<02 years old): FOC except domestic ticket cost.
  • 02 – 11 years old: 85% adult rate.
  • Child from 12 years old and above will pay as adult.

All tickets: Based on each airlines policy, the price for children will be applied at time of booking.

What are the typical steps in the payment process?

Deposit: In order to secure your spot for the tour, an amount 10% of land service are required to pay (the amount vary based each on tour basis). The amount should be made via bank transfer or our online payment method. After receiving the deposit of your tour, a voucher confirmation will be sent to you within 24-48 hours. Some airfares or services must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Final payment: The balance of your tour will be made one month before the travel date. Payment by bank transfer or online payment is accepted.

Will be there any alterations of the itinerary?

Alterations to your itinerary before the booking is processed are happily processed free of charge. We want to provide the best tour possible for you.

Alterations, after you have received your booking confirmation letter, will attract a fee of $10 USD per request.

Vietnam Tour Fun reserves the right to modify the itinerary of the tour if air schedule or surface transportation changes, and/or events beyond its control make such alteration necessary.

In this event, any of the increase or reduction of the tour cost will be calculated and charged accordingly.

If the tour is to be changed at the request of the client(s), the client will be required to pay any additional cost in advance.

What are the cancellation policies and how can I change mine?

We would deeply regret your decision to cancel your trip to Vietnam & Indochina; however, we realize that there are many reasons for this event.
In the event of cancellation, we will refund any payment made to Vietnam Tour Fun given that a cancellation fee is applicable.

The cancellation fee will be calculated as follows:

  • 31 days and more before departure: 10% of the full payment + airfare cancellation fees (if any).
  • 15-30 days before departure: 30% of the full payment + airfare cancellation fees (if any).
  • 14 days and less before departure: 100% of the full payment.
  • No-show travelers will be charged 100% of the full payment.

After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.
