Day 1Hanoi Arrival

Your Vietnam, Cambodia Laos trip begins with your arrival in Vietnam. Your private driver will meet and greet you at the airport. Then our driver transfers you to your accommodation. Check in to the hotel and have a rest after the flight. The remaining part of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2 Hanoi – Bavi Ecotour - Hanoi (B/L/)

Have breakfast at the hotel then start your first days of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos tours in Ba Vi, our experienced English Speaking Guide escorts you to Ba Vi, a countryside located on the outskirt of Hanoi. The approximate travel time is one hour and 30 minutes.

Itinerary

Then arriving at Mr. Duoc’s house, the house’s owner welcomes you with fresh honey tea and green lentils or lotus seeds made by his family. Imagine a Vietnam in the old time of war through the stories of Mr. Duoc, who is not only a veteran who lives during those hard times but also a green tea expert. You will visit his tea plantation which is one of the largest in Ri village and join with locals in green tea processing. Afterward, have a Vietnamese cooking demonstration with another local host and then enjoy a home-cooked lunch in a lovely garden.

After that, you will wander around the village and mingle with local people. You will visit the local craftsman who has been skilled at making conical hats from a very young age and other workshops in the village to see how people there make tofu or shell the rice. As you meander through the countryside you will experience the friendliness of the local people greeting you along the way. Then join your guides for a leisurely cycling trip along the country roads.

Observe traditional Vietnamese rural life as the local people work in the paddy fields. Along the way, watch out for a water buffalo plowing a paddy field while ducks swim across the top. Stop at another host family for foot bathing following the recipes of the Muong ethnic group and relaxing time before embarking on your private boat for a trip along the Da river. Later, enjoy a transfer from Ba Vi to your accommodation in Hanoi.

Day 3Excursion To The Natural Wonder Of The Worlds (B/L/D) – Sharing Cruise

One of the must-see destinations in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos is Halong Bay. After having breakfast at the hotel. Get pick-up by the Cruise team around 7:30 am. Take the most scenic route to reach Halong Bay, taking you across the Red River Delta with emerald green rice paddies stretching for as far as the eyes can see. On arrival at Halong, you get to enjoy a cruise on the Bay to better explore the limestone rocks and the karst grottoes.

After you are done with your exploration of the bay, it is time to enjoy an utterly delicious seafood lunch, after which a trip to the famous limestone cave in Ha Long Bay, you’ll get to spend some time here, kayaking or swimming, so that you can get closer to the floating villages and shops. Towards the evening, you will return to the boat for an early dinner, followed by some time at leisure. You can opt to attend the activities, take part in the boat or relax for the day.

Day 4Halong Bay – Hanoi – Flight To Hue (B/L)

Rise early for a Tai Chi lesson or just to enjoy a hearty breakfast. The boat will make its way back to the port stopping at the Limestone Cave, full of stalagmites and stalactites. From here, it’s clear sailing back to the main harbor and transferred back to Hanoi. In the evening our driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the airport. Take a flight to Hue.

Day 5Hue City Tour (B/L)

In the morning, you have breakfast at your hotel. Today you will visit one of the heritage sites in Vietnam

Start your trip with the exploring Imperial Citadel, the residence of the Nguyen Dynasty, which was Vietnam’s last royal dynasty. There you will visit The Royal Antiques Museum, one of the first museums in Vietnam. Many collections of ancient Hue and Royal antiques are displayed here: bronze wares, china, musical instruments, royal attires, and personal belongings of the Emperor family of the Nguyen Dynasty. Then continue to Dong Ba market – the best place for cultural gifts and souvenirs.

In the afternoon you will visit the Emperor’s Tombs such as Emperor Khai Dinh’s (1885-1925) Tomb, famous for its beauty and unique architectural style, and Emperor Minh Mang’s (1791-1841) Tomb. On the way back to Hue, you will have a stopover at the Conical Hat village to see how famous Vietnamese traditional hats Non-La are produced, and the Incense stick making village to observe how locals make sandalwood and cinnamon incenses. Then head to your hotel in Hue.

Day 6Hue – Transfer To Hoi An (B)

Have breakfast at the hotel and get ready for the 3 hours trip from Hue to Hoi An by private vehicle.

Upon arrival, you will have free time. You could spend time at the beach or explore this romantic and charming town. We recommend you have a walk around Hoi An in the evening when the Old Town in Hoi An transforms into a mystical row of lights and lanterns.

Day 7Hoi An Leisure (B)

Today you will have free time to explore Hoi An at your own pace, seeing what interests you. This ancient town is full of Japanese merchant houses and pagodas, temples, and antique warehouses. Or just lounge about in a laid-back riverside café on the bank of the Thu Bon River.

Day 8Hoi An – Danang Flight To Can Tho (B)

Have breakfast at the hotel and relaxing time before boarding a flight from Da Nang to Can Tho. Upon your arrival, our driver transfers you from the airport to your hotel in Can Tho.

Day 9Can Tho - Market Floating Cai Rang – Tra Su Cajuput Forest - Chau Doc (B/L)

Breakfast at hotel – Boat riding on Mekong River – Visit Cai Rang floating market – cruise in a small cannels to visit local family, orchard, tropical fruit, green tea – Move to Chau Doc – Visit Tra Su flooded forest, also referred as Tra Su cajuput forest, Tra Su mangrove forest, Tra Su Melaleuca forest or Tra Su bird sanctuary, is located at Tinh Bien district, An Giang province, 10 km from Vietnam – Cambodia border and 60 km from Long Xuyen city.

This is a flooded forest that features the typical ecosystem of the Mekong Delta, which can be seen clearly during flooded season, from September, October to November. The forest is dressed up with the appealing look of the green carpet of duckweed covering the whole large area.

Day 10Chau Doc – Phnom Penh By Speed Boat (B)

Finish your Vietnam trip and head to Cambodia and Laos. After breakfast change to the speed boat to board to PhnomPenh.

Pick up and transfer to hotel for check-in. The same afternoon, sit Tuol Sleng Museum (S-21 prison). This former school was used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces. More than 17,000 people held at S-21 were taken to the extermination camp at Choeng Ek to be executed. Day 11Phnom Penh City Tour – Siem Reap By Bus (B)

Breakfast at the hotel – Visit Royal Palace is a royal residence now where His Majesty, the King of Cambodia, and the royal families live. it is like a small town of royal dynasties. Continue to Silver Pagoda, which serves less as a functioning temple than a repository for cultural treasures such as a 90 kg golden Buddha encrusted with 2086 diamonds. Transfer to the bus station for your journey to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to the hotel check-in.

Day 12Angkor Tour (B)

Angkor Temple is a highlight of the Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia journeys. Breakfast at the hotel: Start your sightseeing tour of the Angkor area we spend a full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat.

This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards, and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple and the jungle-covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man’s creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature.

Day 13Tonle Sap Lake Tour (B)

Breakfast at the hotel: drive to Chrieve village to admire the local life of people – Taking an oxcart riding tour is a great way to see authentic Cambodia, meet a lot of encounters, and interact with local people by visiting their home gardens. Learn their ways of life, and Cambodian culture, help them with vegetable gardening, take as many as photos you like, and enjoy seasonal fruits at a village house.

Afternoon, we will visit the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap. We take a boat trip in a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake, the “Great Lake” of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia. We spend the rest of the day visiting the “Chantiers Ecoles – Les Artisans d’Angkor” which provides training to young Cambodians to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone carving and wood sculpting.

Day 14Siem Reap – Pakse By Flight (B)

Departing for the last country in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos packages. Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for flight to Pakse.

Arrive at Pakse airport, our driver escorts and transfers you to your accommodation. After check-in, the rest of the time is free at your leisure.

Day 15Pakse – Khone Phaleng – Don Khone – Pakse (B)

After breakfast, today we drive further south to visit Khone Phapheng on the journey. Khone Phapheng is considered the largest waterfall by volume in South East Asia; this is an impressive sight with marvelous nature near the Lao – Cambodian border, which is teeming with wildlife making this area one of the most breathtaking destinations in Laos. If time permits, we can visit the Don Khone area, which takes you to visit the remains of the French period, Liphi Waterfall, or “the Corridor of the Devil”. Then, we drive back to Pakse.

Day 16Pakse – Bolaven Plateau – Luang Prabang (B)

We leave Pakse around 08:00 am and drive to a village known for its knife-making, before going to visit some coffee and tea plantations where we see the production process. We continue to Tad Fan waterfall, a 120 meters high twin waterfall, and visit the area, the house of many coffee plantations. Heading on to Tad Yuang where we have lunch, relax, and take a swim if you want.

In the afternoon, we back to Pakse for catching a flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival at the airport, our driver meets and transfers you to your accommodation. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. Today is free at your leisure.

Day 17Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfall (B)

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession.

From there you will visit the morning market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea, and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables, and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts. We back to the hotel for breakfast and then continue to visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through to the last sovereign.

During our time here, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham and today you will visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouray, Hmong Village, Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, Khmu Village, then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools or walk along the forest trails.

Day 18Luang Prabang – Pak Ou – Luang Prabang (B)

Today, we enjoy a short guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple Wat Sene, and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well as explores the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims.

Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. After returning to Luang Prabang by late afternoon, we continue to Ban Xang Khong, a village well known for its silk weavings and its Saa (jute) Papermaking. After that, we climb up to the top of mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city at sunset and the Mekong River. From there, we explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

Any policies are in place for children?

The rate for children applicable for child sharing a room or cabin with two adults:

  • For infant (<02 years old): FOC except domestic ticket cost.
  • 02 – 11 years old: 85% adult rate.
  • Child from 12 years old and above will pay as adult.

All tickets: Based on each airlines policy, the price for children will be applied at time of booking.

What are the typical steps in the payment process?

Deposit: In order to secure your spot for the tour, an amount 10% of land service are required to pay (the amount vary based each on tour basis). The amount should be made via bank transfer or our online payment method. After receiving the deposit of your tour, a voucher confirmation will be sent to you within 24-48 hours. Some airfares or services must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Final payment: The balance of your tour will be made one month before the travel date. Payment by bank transfer or online payment is accepted.

Will be there any alterations of the itinerary?

Alterations to your itinerary before the booking is processed are happily processed free of charge. We want to provide the best tour possible for you.

Alterations, after you have received your booking confirmation letter, will attract a fee of $10 USD per request.

Vietnam Tour Fun reserves the right to modify the itinerary of the tour if air schedule or surface transportation changes, and/or events beyond its control make such alteration necessary.

In this event, any of the increase or reduction of the tour cost will be calculated and charged accordingly.

If the tour is to be changed at the request of the client(s), the client will be required to pay any additional cost in advance.

What are the cancellation policies and how can I change mine?

We would deeply regret your decision to cancel your trip to Vietnam & Indochina; however, we realize that there are many reasons for this event.
In the event of cancellation, we will refund any payment made to Vietnam Tour Fun given that a cancellation fee is applicable.

The cancellation fee will be calculated as follows:

  • 31 days and more before departure: 10% of the full payment + airfare cancellation fees (if any).
  • 15-30 days before departure: 30% of the full payment + airfare cancellation fees (if any).
  • 14 days and less before departure: 100% of the full payment.
  • No-show travelers will be charged 100% of the full payment.

After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.
