Your Vietnam group tours begin with your arrival in Vietnam. Then, your private driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. After that, let’s check in to the hotel and have a rest after the flight.
If you arrived early in the afternoon you could mooch through the streets of the city. Not to mention, historic charm, architectural marvels, and product variety are splashed all over this area.

Have breakfast and meet your guide.
8:30-8:45 at the hotel lobby. Next, depart for the Cu Chi tunnel, the trip will take approximately one and a half hours driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have a short introduction followed by a video about how the tunnels were constructed and how people survived in the harsh conditions of wartime. Then, spend your time exploring the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, and bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purposes during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served.
Break time for relaxation or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun. You will be back at your hotel by 18:30-19:00.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.
Have breakfast at the hotel and get ready for your flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang airport. Upon arrival, our driver will meet you at the airport and will transfer you to Hoi An. You will check in at the hotel and have some relaxing time at your resort or the beach.
In the evening you could go to the Old Town, which transforms into a mystical row of lights and lanterns. Hoi An is a big center for silk lantern manufacturers and merchants. Every shop or establishment will have a few lanterns outside, but the real sight is the lantern market.
After a stroll through the market, check out the outdoor traditional theatre. You will have a chance to see Vietnamese folk dancers and musicians perform traditional pieces. The theatre runs from 9 pm to 10 pm at the square on Nguyen Thai Hoc street. It is completely free and open to the public so it’s interesting to see, even if it’s just for a few minutes as you pass by. Before you retire to your hotel, be sure to light a candle box and set it in the water. Many kids sit along the banks of the channel and offer candles to you – remember to make a wish.
Overnight in Hoi An.
Have breakfast at the hotel, and get ready for your later making lesson. As lanterns are the symbol of Hoi An and a big part of the local culture, you will have the opportunity to learn how to make them. After you enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you will get ready for a lantern-making lesson. Through the lesson, you will have the opportunity to learn how to make them. Later, your guide will meet you at the hotel at 8 am and you will cycle through the town to the craftsman’s home. You will be given an introduction about the lanterns and how they became the symbol of Hoi An, along with a demonstration of making a lantern. More importantly, you will have an opportunity to create your lantern and keep it as a souvenir.
After the lesson you will have time to explore Hoi An in your peace, seeing what interest you. Today you will have free time to explore Hoi An at your own pace, seeing what interests you. This ancient town is full of Japanese merchant houses and pagodas, temples, and antique warehouses. Or just lounge about in a laid-back riverside café on the bank of the Thu Bon River.
Have breakfast at the hotel and enjoy your free time before the evening flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival in Hanoi, our driver will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Have a good rest after the flight.
Overnight in Hanoi.
In the morning, check out from the hotel and get pick-up by the Cruise. Next, you will be picked up from your hotel at 7:30-8:00 am. Then, take the most scenic route to Halong Bay across the Red River Delta with emerald green rice paddies. On arrival to Halong, you will take a cruise on the bay to explore the limestone rocks and the karst grottoes.
After you are done with your exploration of the bay, it is time to enjoy an utterly delicious seafood lunch, after which a trip to the famous limestone cave in Ha Long bay, you’ll get to spend some time here, kayaking or swimming, so that you can get closer to the floating villages and shops. Towards the evening, you will return to the boat for an early dinner, followed by some time at leisure. You can also attend the activities taking part on the boat.
Overnight on Cruise.
Rise early for a Tai Chi lesson or just to enjoy a hearty breakfast. Then the boat will make its way back to the port stopping at the Limestone Cave, full of stalagmites and stalactites. From here, you would sailing back to the main harbor and the return Hanoi around 17:00. Free at your leisure time.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Free day in Hanoi on your exploration until our driver (no tour guide) picks you up at the lobby of the hotel and transfers you to Noi Bai International Airport for the flight back home.

My husband and I arranged for a 9 day travel tour in Viet Nam traveling from Hanoi, through Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City. In every city, we got service with a smile. And Halong Bay cruise was just terrific! We will visit this place again for sure.
