During the trip, get active on a 10-day exploration of the country’s heritage and culture – biking and walking through its best. There, discover the ancient temple ruins of the incredible Angkor complex by foot and mountain bike.
Explore the fascinating floating village in Tonle Sap Lake which is the largest lake in South-East Asia, and provides fish and irrigation for half the country’s population. Then travel to the west of the great Tonle Sap Lake, and you will find the charming town of Battambang. Although people visit here less than in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, the town is home to some of the best-preserved French-colonial buildings in the country. Later, visit this pretty riverside town to discover the magical country of the Khmers. Next, the drive to Phnom Penh – once known as “the Pearl of the Orient”, is a lively and engaging city, which is in the process of growing confidence and vitality despite its recent turbulent history.
Your Cambodia tours begin your trip to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, our driver picks you up and transfers you to your accommodation. Check-in your accommodation.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, we take cycle tours to the main temple attraction for an extensive exploration of the magnificent 12th-century Angkor Wat, Cambodia. It is simply not possible for any other monument to suppress this great temple. Continuing down to a little brick temple called ‘Prasat Kravan’ where we will enjoy lunch in a local restaurant at Srah Srang Village by your own account. Hereafter we spin through a little unnoticed village to visit ‘Ta Prohm’ (The Jungle temple). Upon entering via the North Gate, we proceed further to a little sandstone temple in the jungle called: Ta Nei. Other sights en route are – Victory Gate and Ghost Gate before we return to Siem Reap.

Breakfast at hotel. Today we continue to explore the jungle covered temple of Visit the Roluos Group. The monuments of Roluos, which serves as the capital of Indravarman I (reigned 877-89. Preah KO erected by Indravarman I in the late 9th century dedicated by the King to his ancestors in 880. Actually, Bakong the largest and most interesting of the Roluos group temples, with his active Buddhist monastery just to the north of the east entrance.
Lolei built on an islet in the center of a large reservoir (now rice fields) by Yasovarman I, the founder to the first city at Angkor and then stop to visit well preserved temple of Banteay Srei. Along the way we make stopover at the Preah Dark village and we follow these with a visit the Banteay Samre Temple adorned with impressive relief’s depicting scenes of Vishunu as well as Krishna legends.
Overnight in Siem Reap
Breakfast at hotel. Visit the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap. Then we take boat tours in a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake, the “Great Lake” of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia. Next, we spend the rest of time visiting the “Chantiers Ecoles – Les Artisans d’Angkor” which provides training to young Cambodians in an effort to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone carving and wood sculpting.
Then we will drive to the Pouk district about 15 Km in the West of Siem Reap town you visit the silk farm, a fascinating farm/workshop where you can see the entire silk creation process including growing the food for the silk worms, breeding the worms, silk extraction and refinement, traditional kit dying pattern creation and looming. Retail silk and souvenir shop. On the way back, visit the Western Baray (Baray Occidental) measuring 8 km by 2.3 km which provided water for the intensive cultivation of lands around Angkor.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
Breakfast at the hotel and today we will overland with our driver to Battambang town, where you can find many of the French Colonial architectures. After check-in, we drive along the picturesque Sangker River to Wat Slaket Pagoda, the former residence of the provincial Buddhist patriarch. We continue to visit Ek Phnom Temple which is from the 11th century.
Angkorian-era ruin was built as a Hindu temple under Suryavarman I. The temple consists of parasites on a platform with some carvings in pretty good condition. Wat Ek Phnom, a modern pagoda, sits next to the ruin. The river road drive to Ek Phnom from Battambang passes through small villages and rice paddies and is an absolutely beautiful countryside drive. Visit a market where Prahoc, the Cambodian fish paste, is made. We continue to visit the place where local people take steam-sticky rice cooked in bamboo. Return to town for a short walk to the local market.

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to the village of Ksach Puoy on the banks of the Sangker River. As well as being home to many well-preserved traditional Khmer wooden stilted homes, this area grows a variety of tropical fruits and after the rainy season farmers plant all kinds of vegetables along the fertile river banks, here you can learn about traditional agriculture – Phnom Banan, Battambang also a great opportunity to taste juicy oranges, sweet pineapples, and much other fruit… Not far from Ksach Puoy is Cambodia’s first vineyard – Prasat Phnom Banan Vineyard – you can pop in if you like, learn about producing wine in the tropics, and of course enjoy a spot of wine tasting!
A few kilometers further south you arrive at the well-preserved 11th-century mountaintop Angkorian temple of Phnom Banan. After climbing the 350+ steps you are treated to a wonderfully peaceful setting with superb views across the surrounding countryside. The same afternoon, meet families in a Muslim village and learn about their vocations, traditions, and everyday life, Have a chat with a Buddhist monk and learn about Buddhism and monastic life, and enjoy a scenic ride in the countryside.
Overnight in Battambang.
Breakfast at the hotel – you will have tours to visit Phnom Sampov, which is the national resort of Cambodia. On the top of Phnom Sampove mountain, there are temples and three natural wells, namely: Pkar Solar, Lo Khoun, and Ak So Pheak. Lastly, return to the town by the end of the day. If time permits, we also explore the French colonial town, where you could see many French architectures. Overland to Phnom Penh with our tour guide and driver.

In the schedule for Cambodia tours today, after breakfast, visit The Royal Palace, the incredible solid silver-floored Silver Pagoda, the pagoda on the Royal Palace campus, which have thousands of silver tiles on the floor of the pagoda and the biggest golden Buddha statue. Silver Pagoda is in the Royal Palace Compound made of 5000 silver tiles. Raung Damrei Museumcontinuese to visit National Museum, over 5000 objects are on display including Angkorian-era statues, lingas, and other artifacts. Visit Royal Palace is a royal residence now where His Majesty, the King of Cambodia, and the royal families live. it is like a small town of royal dynasties.
Continue to Silver Pagoda, which serves less as a functioning temple than a repository for cultural treasures such as a 90 kg golden Buddha encrusted with 2086 diamonds. Following that we spend the rest of the time at Phnom Penh’s Psar Toul Tom Pong, known as the Russian Market, a great place to hunt for souvenirs, curios, and silks. Finally visit Wat Phnom Temple is one of the most important pagodas in Phnom Penh. Built-in 1373 on an artificial hill by the wealthy widow Daun Chi Penh.

After breakfast and free at your leisure in the morning, you will enjoy a cooking class in the afternoon.
