Itinerary

You will start day trips from hanoi right after the guide meet you at the hotel lobby and the our tour would start with a welcome drink in an authentic local café in the heart of the Old Quarter. Then hop on the back of a vintage Vespa bike and get ready to explore Hanoi in a truly local way. 

Ride through Hanoi’s iconic narrow streets to the picturesque ‘Art Street’, where you will observe the murals showcasing a mixture of traditional Vietnamese culture and modern ‘social’ influences.

Discover historic cantilever bridge

Then we will ride out of the city to the Long Bien Bridge, a magnificent structure built over a hundred years ago, which spans the Red River and connects the Hoan Kiem and Long Bien Districts. This magnificent structure also provides shelter to locals living in floating homes. Only motorbikes and bicycles can traverse here and this is truly an off the beaten path experience, so off we go! (if weather permits)

It’s time to get back on the Vespas for a fun ride past the West Lake to Ngoc Ha Market. Stroll around this vast, bustling marketplace taking in the vibrant atmosphere that typifies Hanoi.

Later, have a short ride on your comfortable vintage Vespa toward Huu Tiep Lake, where you will explore the grounds of a 400-year-old temple, following by a short walk through traditional local market streets to see the B52 crash site at the lake. This US bomber was shot down during the 1972 bombing raids over Hanoi, a poignant reminder of Vietnam’s recent history.

Our final ride will take you along the riverside as we zoom past the ancient dyke wall, beautifully decorated with mosaic artwork to the final destination: a tranquil green oasis at a miniature Kumquat farm (depends on the season) or the house of Vietnamese Tea Master, where you will learn about the ancient tradition of making tea.

Then we will ride you back to your hotel. Day trips from hanoi will end.

Any policies are in place for children?

The rate for children applicable for child sharing a room or cabin with two adults:

  • For infant (<02 years old): FOC except domestic ticket cost.
  • 02 – 11 years old: 85% adult rate.
  • Child from 12 years old and above will pay as adult.

All tickets: Based on each airlines policy, the price for children will be applied at time of booking.

What are the typical steps in the payment process?

Deposit: In order to secure your spot for the tour, an amount 10% of land service are required to pay (the amount vary based each on tour basis). The amount should be made via bank transfer or our online payment method. After receiving the deposit of your tour, a voucher confirmation will be sent to you within 24-48 hours. Some airfares or services must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Final payment: The balance of your tour will be made one month before the travel date. Payment by bank transfer or online payment is accepted.

I'm a solo traveller, is there a single supplement?

All prices are based on per adult, in Double/Twin sharing

Surcharge will be applied for single traveler or single room request

Will be there any alterations of the itinerary?

Alterations to your itinerary before the booking is processed are happily processed free of charge. We want to provide the best tour possible for you.

Alterations, after you have received your booking confirmation letter, will attract a fee of $10 USD per request.

Vietnam Tour Fun reserves the right to modify the itinerary of the tour if air schedule or surface transportation changes, and/or events beyond its control make such alteration necessary.

In this event, any of the increase or reduction of the tour cost will be calculated and charged accordingly.

If the tour is to be changed at the request of the client(s), the client will be required to pay any additional cost in advance.

What are the cancellation policies and how can I change mine?

We would deeply regret your decision to cancel your trip to Vietnam & Indochina; however, we realize that there are many reasons for this event.
In the event of cancellation, we will refund any payment made to Vietnam Tour Fun given that a cancellation fee is applicable.

The cancellation fee will be calculated as follows:

  • 31 days and more before departure: 10% of the full payment + airfare cancellation fees (if any).
  • 15-30 days before departure: 30% of the full payment + airfare cancellation fees (if any).
  • 14 days and less before departure: 100% of the full payment.
  • No-show travelers will be charged 100% of the full payment.

After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.
