Itinerary

08:00 – Start your holidays trip to Ri village in Ba Vi in North of Vietnam. After a 1.5 hour drive, you will arrive at Mr Duoc’s house, where you will enjoy a welcome drink.

10:00 – Visit the Tea Plantation in Ri Village. This is a green and peaceful place, where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the village. This Tea Plantation plays an important role in providing tea products for the whole north of Vietnam. You will have a chance to help a local family harvest tea leaves, and we will show you how to pick the best part of the tea tree to make the most wonderful beverage as Vietnamese traditional tea.

Mr Duoc is a veteran of the Vietnam War and is the owner of a large tea farm. He is also an expert on handling raw tea leaves and he will show you the process required to provide an exceptional tea product. You will have a great time listening to Mr Duoc’s stories about his life, his experiences during the war. Then, you will enjoy some great tea along with green lentils or lotus seeds, also grown by his family.

Moc Village

11:15 – Driving about 10 minutes to visit another host family in Moc Village where you will enjoy a fun cooking class by Mrs Chin. She will show you how to cook Vietnamese food, and you will have some time to enjoy lunch with the food you helped cook!

13:45 – After lunch, you have time to walk (or cycle) around the village to explore the local culture and visit the local workshops. You can learn how to make tofu, make the traditional conical hat in Vietnam, shell rice, and maybe see the workshop of a local worker who is making and fixing all the farming tools in the village for 70 years.

15:00 – You will enjoy a 1-hour cycling tour through the beautiful rice fields and the villages. You can witness the daily life of local people and interact with them. Mr Chau is your next host, who will welcome you with fresh mint lemon juice, with all ingredients freshly picked from his garden. After, you can enjoy a traditional foot soak in warm water with herbs, following the traditional recipes of the Muong ethnic minority. This will relay you (and your feet!) after cycling around the village.

 Your afternoon will end with a boat trip down the Da River on which you can enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and explore the local life along the riverside.

Time to bid farewell to your host family and our drive back to the Hanoi centre. End your holidays tour to North of Vietnam ) at your hotel around 18:30

Any policies are in place for children?

The rate for children applicable for child sharing a room or cabin with two adults:

  • For infant (<02 years old): FOC except domestic ticket cost.
  • 02 – 11 years old: 85% adult rate.
  • Child from 12 years old and above will pay as adult.

All tickets: Based on each airlines policy, the price for children will be applied at time of booking.

What are the typical steps in the payment process?

Deposit: In order to secure your spot for the tour, an amount 10% of land service are required to pay (the amount vary based each on tour basis). The amount should be made via bank transfer or our online payment method. After receiving the deposit of your tour, a voucher confirmation will be sent to you within 24-48 hours. Some airfares or services must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Final payment: The balance of your tour will be made one month before the travel date. Payment by bank transfer or online payment is accepted.

I'm a solo traveller, is there a single supplement?

All prices are based on per adult, in Double/Twin sharing

Surcharge will be applied for single traveler or single room request

Will be there any alterations of the itinerary?

Alterations to your itinerary before the booking is processed are happily processed free of charge. We want to provide the best tour possible for you.

Alterations, after you have received your booking confirmation letter, will attract a fee of $10 USD per request.

Vietnam Tour Fun reserves the right to modify the itinerary of the tour if air schedule or surface transportation changes, and/or events beyond its control make such alteration necessary.

In this event, any of the increase or reduction of the tour cost will be calculated and charged accordingly.

If the tour is to be changed at the request of the client(s), the client will be required to pay any additional cost in advance.

What are the cancellation policies and how can I change mine?

We would deeply regret your decision to cancel your trip to Vietnam & Indochina; however, we realize that there are many reasons for this event.
In the event of cancellation, we will refund any payment made to Vietnam Tour Fun given that a cancellation fee is applicable.

The cancellation fee will be calculated as follows:

  • 31 days and more before departure: 10% of the full payment + airfare cancellation fees (if any).
  • 15-30 days before departure: 30% of the full payment + airfare cancellation fees (if any).
  • 14 days and less before departure: 100% of the full payment.
  • No-show travelers will be charged 100% of the full payment.

After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.
