Authentic Cambodia and Vietnam

Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, meet & greet. You will be transferred to your selected hotel. (Hotel check-in time is 2 pm.) Relax at the hotel to freshen up and enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure or enjoy optional tours.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

After breakfast, we begin to visit Angkor Wat the “7th Wonders of the World” and the world’s largest temple with excellent masterpieces of carvings, sculptures, and perfect structures.  Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we visit the impressive South Gate of Angkor Thom. Then, we visit Bayon, the second main temple of Cambodia after Angkor Wat.  After that, we visit Baphoun which is an enormous Hindu mountain temple constructed in the early 11th century. Next, we walk along the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. After that, we explore Ta Prom, another Buddhist temple covered by dense tropical forest where the Tomb Raider Movie was filmed. Visit Banteay Kdei, a grand Buddhist temple built in the late 12th century.  Sras Srong, a 1000-year-old man-made lake. We could either visit sunset Pre Rup Temple.  Back in town, International Buffet dinner with Khmer traditional show at a local restaurant.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

Have breakfast at the hotel and get ready for your transfer to Phnom Penh by air-conditioned bus. In the afternoon you will visit the Royal Palace, which is currently a residence of His Majesty, the King of Cambodia, and the royal family. The palace looks like a small town of royal dynasties. Continue to Silver Pagoda, which serves less as a functioning temple than a repository for cultural treasures such as a 90 kg golden Buddha encrusted with 2086 diamonds. Finally visit Wat Phnom Temple, one of the most important pagodas in Phnom Penh It was built in 1373 on an artificial hill by the wealthy widow Daun Chi Penh.

Breakfast at the hotel, then visit Tuol Sleng Museum (S-21 prison). This former school was used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces. More than 17,000 people held at S-21 were taken to the extermination camp at Choeng Ek to be executed. Then visit Russian Market (Toul Tumpong Market), this Market has gained a reputation for cheap clothing, a large selection of Buddha images and woodcarvings, betel-nut boxes, silk, silver jewelry, and classic musical instrument. Then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh.

Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh city, our driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel, rest of the day is at your leisure.

08:00 – 08:30: Pick you up at your hotel

The trip will take approximately one and a half hours of driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have a short introduction followed by a video about how the tunnels were constructed and how people survived in the harsh conditions of wartime. Then, spend your time exploring the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, and bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purposes during the war. Afterward, native Cu Chi tapioca will be served. 

7:20 am Pick up from the hotel.

Kickstart your day with a hearty breakfast and a trip to Mekong Delta follows, depart for My Tho, the town that lies on the left side of the Mekong River. Boarding the sampan and cruising down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise islands.

Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking around the country lane and see orchards, and enjoy tropical fruits, and folk song music performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation. 

Ride a hand-rowed sampan through the Thoi Son canal and treat yourself to the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business, visit the honey-bee farm, and enjoy the honey tea and coconut candy workshop. 

Have lunch at a local restaurant. Break time.

In the afternoon, time for cycling around Tan Thach village, and meeting the local villagers to experience the local daily life in the Mekong delta. Hammock relaxing and enjoying the cool breeze for those who can’t join the cycling trip. Return to Ho Chi Minh.

Have breakfast at the hotel, have free leisure time until there will be a private cab to transfer you to the airport, and be ready for the next flight to Hue. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Hue. After the hotel check, have some leisure time in Hue. 

You will visit The Royal Antiques Museum, one of the first museums in Vietnam. Many collections of ancient Hue and Royal antiques are displayed here: bronze wares, china, musical instruments, royal attires, and personal belongings of the Emperor family of the Nguyen Dynasty. Then continue to Dong Ba market – the best place for cultural gifts and souvenirs.

Have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon you will visit the Emperor’s Tombs such as Emperor Khai Dinh’s (1885-1925) Tomb, famous for its beauty and unique architectural style, and Emperor Minh Mang’s (1791-1841) Tomb. On the way back to Hue you will have a stopover at the Conical Hat village to see how famous Vietnamese traditional hats Non-La are produced, and the Incense stick making village to observe how locals make sandalwood and cinnamon incenses.

Arrive back at your hotel around 4:00-4:30 pm.  

Overnight in Hue.

8:00 our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Hue and transfer you to Hoi An via the magnificent Hai Van Pass (if the weather permitted). Also known as “The Cloudy Pass” this winding mountain road overlooks the lush countryside, sandy beaches, and the blue waters of the East Sea. Then cool off in the East Sea at Lang Co Beach. Arrive in the laidback town of Hoi An in the afternoon.

Would you like to go fishing with the local fisherman? Why don’t you have a fun experience with the funny basket boat? You shouldn’t hesitance because the day will put a broad smile on your face. It is very interesting to fish here on the river with the local fisherman as you catch your fish and we cook for you. 

On the Fishermen & the Waterways of a Past War Tour, you will enjoy a wide range of experiences – from learning traditional fishing techniques to paddling the strange and unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats while exploring the now tranquil coconut-palm flanked waterways of a past war. On this tour, we provide authentic social and cultural insight into the local Vietnamese way of life. As well you will take part in some hands-on activities that are fun, safe, and interesting to people all of ages.

Start of the tour time 08:00, pick up at your hotel lobby.

After the tour, you will have free time till our driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, our driver will pick up you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel in Hanoi.

The pick-up time will be informed to the hotel in Hoi An.

Breakfast at the hotel. Get pick-up by the Cruise at 7:30. Take the most scenic route to reach Halong Bay, taking you across the Red River Delta with emerald green rice paddies stretching for as far as the eyes can see. On arrival at Halong, you get to enjoy a cruise on the Bay to better explore the limestone rocks and the karst grottoes. 

After you are done with your exploration of the bay, it is time to enjoy an utterly delicious seafood lunch, after which a trip to the famous limestone cave in Ha Long bay, you’ll get to spend some time here, kayaking or swimming, so that you can get closer to the floating villages and shops. Towards the evening, you will return to the boat for an early dinner, followed by some time at leisure. You can opt to attend the activities take part in the boat or relax for the day.

Rise early for a Tai Chi lesson or just to enjoy a hearty breakfast. The boat will make its way back to the port stopping at the Limestone Cave, full of stalagmites and stalactites. From here, it’s clear sailing back to the main harbor and returns to Hanoi around 17:00. Free in your leisure time.

08:00 – Start your trip to Ri village in Ba Vi. After 1.5 hours of driving, you will arrive at Mr. Duoc’s house with a welcome drink.

10:00 – Then visit the 30-year-old tea plantation in Ri Village. This is a green and peaceful place where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the village. This Tea Plantation plays important role in providing tea products for the whole north of Vietnam. You will have a chance to help a local family to harvest tea leaves, you will know how to pick the best part of the tea tree to make the most wonderful beverage as Vietnam traditional tea.

Mr. Duoc is a veteran of the Vietnam War and the owner of a large tea farm. He also is an expert in handling raw tea leaves, he will introduce you to how to make good green tea before selling it.

You will have a great time listening to the host’s stories of his life in the Vietnam war, besides, enjoying great tea with green lentils or lotus seeds made by his family.

11:15 – Driving about 10 minutes to visit another host family in Moc Village to give you a cooking class by Mrs. Chin – a host family. She will show you how to cook Vietnamese food, and you will have a great time enjoying the lunch you cooked. 

12:30: Have lunch with the host’s family and a short break after lunch. Then you will head back to Hanoi and will have free time to explore the city.

Relish a healthy breakfast on the final day of your trip. Complete the hotel check-out formalities after which you can visit the local markets and buy souvenirs for your loved ones.  Later, proceed for departure and board your flight back home. Trip Ends.
